This notice describes how GlobalComps handles information and files submitted for an RFQ or BOM sourcing review.
Scope
This notice applies to the online RFQ form, uploaded BOM files, related email messages and the internal enquiry record created under a GlobalComps reference number.
Information received
An enquiry may contain company and business-contact information, WhatsApp details, destination, target date, manufacturer part numbers, quantities, packaging, application notes and an optional XLSX, XLS, CSV or PDF file. Please provide only information reasonably needed to review the sourcing request.
Purpose of use
- Create and manage the enquiry reference.
- Review part numbers, quantities, packaging, documentation and delivery requirements.
- Clarify missing information and prepare a sales-reviewed quotation.
- Maintain business, security and audit records relating to the enquiry.
Storage and access
Uploaded files are stored outside the public website directory. The public cannot open an RFQ record or download its file. Authorised personnel use the protected WordPress administration area and a permission-checked download link. Email notifications identify the enquiry but do not attach the BOM file.
Service providers and locations
Hosting, business email, security and backup providers may process limited enquiry information where needed to operate the service. Systems and providers may operate in different countries or regions. GlobalComps applies access controls and service arrangements intended to protect information during such processing, subject to applicable law.
Confidentiality limits
We treat submitted sourcing information as business information and restrict operational access. An RFQ submission does not by itself create a separate non-disclosure agreement. If a BOM requires special confidentiality, export-control handling or a signed NDA, contact sales@globalcomps.com before uploading it.
Do not upload
Do not upload passwords, API keys, banking credentials, payment-card data, personal identity documents, health information, malicious files, unlawfully obtained information, or controlled data that you are not authorised to transfer. The sourcing assistant is not the BOM upload channel.
Retention and deletion
Enquiry information is retained only while reasonably needed to respond, maintain business and security records, resolve disputes or meet applicable obligations. When those purposes no longer apply, records may be deleted or de-identified. A deletion request may be subject to records that must be kept for legal, security or transaction purposes.
Your responsibilities and requests
You confirm that you are authorised to submit the file and any contact information it contains. To correct an enquiry, add handling instructions or request access or deletion, email sales@globalcomps.com and include the RFQ reference.
Security limitations
No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. If you believe a file was submitted in error or a security incident may have occurred, contact sales promptly with the RFQ reference and do not include additional sensitive information in the message.
